About the Role
The development of modern satellite avionics requires high-performance flight software that meets the highest demands for reliability, safety, and real-time capability. In this role, you will shape the next generation of embedded software systems and actively drive the productive use of Rust in a regulated space environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the design of Rust-based software architectures for satellite flight software
- Development of safety-critical and security-critical software components using Rust
- Integration of modern software engineering methods such as testing, continuous integration and static analysis into existing development processes
- Development and implementation of multicore concepts with regard to partitioning, scheduling and deterministic system behavior
- Implementation of highly reliable communication solutions for various avionics interfaces and bus systems
- Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for the development, verification and commissioning of flight software
Requirements:
- Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable field
- Solid experience in embedded software development for resource-constrained or real-time systems
- Practical experience with Rust and interest in its use in safety-critical applications
