Be the technical owner of our proxy platform: a 100% async Rust codebase (~50k lines, multi-repo) doing tens of millions of requests/day.
The core is a hard distributed-systems problem — we coordinate a churning fleet of** devices running our server** as proxy and route live customer traffic through them over custom TLS + custom protocols. Your job: keep that fleet fast, reliable, and byte-accurately billed.

This is a hands-on lead role. You'll mostly design, code, review, and debug production systems — not manage a large team.
Genuine ownership, full autonomy, clear path to senior leadership. Low-level systems work with immediate production consequences — billing accuracy, abuse prevention, uptime under real traffic. Most backend jobs never touch this depth — and you'll do it on an AI-first team that ships fast.
